I love what you said there at the top. When my book club picks a book that is already on my shelf I laugh in a maniacal way as well. And guess what? They picked this one as well but we are not scheduled to read it until the beginning of the year. I am looking forward to it though.

I love the cover of your edition. Mine is the blue cover that is everywhere and sort of blah.

Thank you for stopping by my blog. This is my first time visiting yours and I must say it's quite lovely. Love the header graphic.

Just in case that you are reading away the day for the readathon, I’m sending you a quote for your encouragement:

There are two motives for reading a book; one, that you enjoy it; the other, that you can boast about it.

Bery nicely written post/review. This sounds like something I would really like. I was hooked by the "the ultimate celebration of every person's invisible part" quotation. I will probably be reading this myself...

I don't know if this one is for me... I don't mind if books have zero plot (most of the time), but I haven't had much luck with French intellectual novels. I find them really alienating most of the time, which is why I've not tried this one out! I'm afraid I'd fall into the "hate it" camp!

But good for you for getting your book club to pick a book you already own! I always tried to pull that trick too!
