I’m just answered to you over at Kittling: I’m from Lisbon, which I unapologetically think the most beautiful part of Portugal, but right behind it I’d put the Acores. Which island does your family come from? There’s actually a strong Acorean community here in Brussels, one of my closest friends is from Pico, but I’ve only visited Sao Miguel (so far).

How I came to Brussels? I studies abroad for a while (Glasgow) and then worked for abroad for a while (Atlanta & Netherlands), so when at a certain point I returned to Portugal I knew I wanted to go back “outside” so started sending CVs. A company in Brussels offered the best proposal, so I moved here in 2005. You’re based in the US? Canada? I know there’s a big aCorean community in Canada.

Outside the windows is a normal neighborhood, with a very busy shopping stress in a very nice part of town called Merode :)
