Nice. I won’t share a photo of my local library, which was built in a brutalist concrete style.

That’s your library? I don’t think I would ever leave it.

I keep telling myself I should go to the library, but I keep buying books and filling shelves at home…
Do they have a nice English books selection?

Joanna
Yeah, do they have English books there?
I don’t do the library any more because I always take out too many books and then don’t read them. Although the one downtown is great so maybe I should rethink that! We could go together even, have you been?

I love the look of this building! Just looking at the outside, makes you want to go in and explore.

Adorable! I too want to pop in and browse — it’s so warm and inviting looking!

@Falaise: I’d still be curious. Is anyone organising a “Coolest Local Libraries” contest somewhere? I might have a chance.
@Melissa: It’s also surprisingly comfortable inside!
@Larissa: I know what you mean, but thought it my duty to support the local library, so I subscribed, even if (blush) I don’t use it much…
@Joanna: Yes, English book, DVDs. It’s a cheap way to watch movies, actually!
@Vasilly: The neighborhood is also very pretty, with old “maisons”
@Audra: The architect knew what he/she was doing!
@Meg: thanks

Lovin’ the Tintin cutout thingummy.
I don’t do libraries anymore… but if I did, I wouldn’t spend any time outside this place.

Art becomes Library becomes Art « The Sleepless Reader
[...] already posted about my local library and the Royal Library of Belgium before, so it was good timing that I heard about a urban art [...]
