Look what I produced!
Little Sleepless (such an appropriate name…) – aka David – was born on the 4th March and since then I’m enjoying the whole full-time-mom experience.
We’re anxiously waiting for the first smile, but I think he already enjoys our play-time, especially the trippy baby books – apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, right? If you have any recommendations for 0-3 months books let me know.
Most days I have no idea where my time went, but I’m going to try to slowly go back to a normal blogging life. I’ll try to post mini-mini-reviews soon because, amazingly, I actually managed to listen to some audiobooks and even read a couple of graphic novels.

Congrats, adorable! My niece liked the tactile books like Pat the Bunny. And a little later the visuals of the Good Dog, Carl books. So cute.

How sweet! Congratulations. (And I l-o-v-e the name you chose. It seems to be seldom heard these days, but it’s such a classic.)

Right there with Ti, we loved Papa, please get the moon for me. At that age though, they love bright colors and those tactile, squishy books that they can play with. Congratulations!!! This time absolutely flies by, so cherish every second!

Congrats! He’s adorable! Look at those book-grabbing hands ready to go!
I gave birth to a new reader on Valentine’s Day this year. Its so much fun when they get older and you can start reading them stories that they’ll actually pay attention to!
I thought I’d have to take a hiatus from my blog, but since the little one sleeps so much in the beginning, I actually got a lot of reading done! Helps to read my books to him too. =)

Congratulations Alex, he’s beautiful! I think I was too zonked to even think about books in the first few months, though Hugh would have been pretty receptive, he was always so alert and watching everything. A good one that the kids really don’t seem to be growing out of is First Words, and there’s another one that’s animals. They’re just photos of things on contrasting backgrounds with the word printed underneath, not very stimulating for the adult reader but babies love these books and they do seem to be good at introducing vocab.
Look forward to hearing more from you!

Congratulations! Almost every night of my son’s first year, I read the poems of Shel Silverstein to him. He’s an adult now, and he’s become exactly the person I would have chosen him to be, so I’d recommend a poem a day!

Many congratulations! David looks adorable. You’ve got lots of great suggestions for books already but I’d recommend any of the tactile books with strong black and white patterns and pictures as, apparently, newborns find black and white easier to focus on than colours. No idea if this is true, but mini-Falaise certainly loved them. Anyway, I hope you are thoroughly enjoying your new addition.

Aww, congratulations 😀
As for books for babies, the “That’s not my…” series of touch and feel books is super popular at my library.

I still have to come and greet this little gem in person! For that age I went with books like Tana Hoban’s “Black on White” and “White on Black”. Otherwise Liliputien’s fabric books. Enjoy!
